Headphones Design

Sony AS600BT

We have to give it to Sony; they really did a fantastic job with the design of the headphones. They are your typical sporty wireless in-ear designs that are meant to stay fixed in your ear no matter what vigorous movement you might be doing.

Whether you are wearing these during a run or an intense gym workout session, these headphones manage to stay put in the ears. They are quite comfortable as well, to begin with. One unique thing that you might notice is the shape of the earpieces themselves. They are more of a rounded rectangle shape which helps with handling them and adds to the comfort of wearing. The added rubber arcs also make sure they are not going anywhere and stay put in their place.

You have four choices of colors, starting from Orange, Blue, White, and the more subdued Black. All the finishes are of the highest quality and look great. With so many options, you are sure to find one that fits your style.

The Sound

Girl Listening to Headphone

For being such a small and lightweight unit, the Sony AS600BT Wireless Sports In-ear Headphones sounds like an absolute delight. It produces some very balanced tones from the low ends to the high ends. The premium neodymium drivers are seen stretching their legs here. The drivers themselves are 0.35 inches, capable of producing frequencies ranging from 20 Hz – 20,000 Hz.

If we had to nitpick a bit, the mids could be a bit better and fuller. These are also a good option for bass lovers, the bass was very distinguishable without ever overpowering the vocals and highs. An all-around great performer.

The sound isolation was commendable as well. You can get quite immersed in your tunes with this one, just you and the music. A perfect pair for those long listening sessions. Just find the right size of earbuds from the various ones given in the box and you are good to go.

Headphones Features

These headphones are packed to the brim with nifty features which make the already great sounding headphones even more of a joy to use:

NFC and Bluetooth: First of all, these are Bluetooth and NFC enabled headphones. You get the added benefit of a wireless listening experience coupled with the hassle-free one-tap pairing of an NFC device. The range of the Bluetooth as mentioned before is also superb, operating perfectly even at a distance of 30 feet.

Full-Featured Box: The unboxing experience of the headphones is also some of the best we had so far. Not only does it come with a full-featured box, but the box itself is also well made and gives off a feeling of a premium product. It is small details like these that set apart the good headphones from the rest out there. It comes with three pairs of earpieces and three pairs of supporters in various sizes, coupled with your mandatory USB charging cable.

Button Controls: With the integrated mic you can take and make calls without having to pull your phone out of your pockets. The built-in volume buttons also make listening to music quite a hassle-free and hands-free experience overall.

IPX4 rating: You do not need to worry anymore about getting caught in the rain or your headphones taking an accidental dip in a puddle. The Sony AS600BT Wireless Sports In-ear Headphones come with an IPX4 rating, giving it minor protections against the elements. As always, we still want to mention the usual disclaimer, the IP rating does not mean the headphones are ‘waterproof’. So still be careful, you will still get away with some splashes here and there though.

Good Battery Life: Sometimes with lightweight wireless headphones you often are left being skeptical about battery life. Luckily, the Sony AS600BT Wireless Sports In-ear Headphones sport an 8.5-hour battery life, putting it quite up there in the big leagues amongst the battery life kings. To top it all off, it only takes around 2 hours to take the battery to a full charge.

We are quite happy with the performance of the Sony AS600BT Wireless Sports In-ear Headphones. It features a great built quality without becoming overly bulky. The sound is commendable and the design and color finishes are nothing to scoff at. An all-around great product for the money that does not disappoint.
