Build Quality and Comfortability

This DOSS Over-Ear Headphone is much more comfortable than most other headphones. 1.5 cm thick soft leathers cover the users’ ears and assure a comfortable gap between the head and ear. A band made of hard plastic differentiates between the pads and the housing. The headband also has a soft layer of padding similar to the ear pads. On the right bottom of the headphone, there is the aux, micro USB port, and microphone. You can adjust the headphone according to your needs. It folds but doesn’t rotate telescopically. Well, who needs that option when you have a great headphone when it fits perfectly in your head.

The best part of the headphone is that it doesn’t squeeze your head tight. It relies on the pads for making a seal. But this also causes jostle and a bit wiggle when you roam around with higher speed than regular walking.

User Interface

The panel that is outside the right and left housing is easier to find without looking because of additional rubber. There is an ANC button in the center of the left ear panel. The small LED button above the button glows when the device is turned on and turns red when it is being charged. The housing on the right has several buttons for controlling volume, forward and backward buttons along with the play/ pause button. The play button also works as a power button. You can use both Bluetooth and an additional 3.5 mm aux that comes with the package for playing. The device also contains a microphone for receiving calls when you are working outdoors or on your electronic devices.

Battery Life and Connectivity

According to the website, ANC BE2 is supposed to give 20 hours of continuous playback time through its Lithium Polymer Battery. But with Active Noise Cancellation, you might get around 12 hours. The battery life is dependent on volume and another setting. It takes almost 3-4 hours to fully get charged. BE2 indicates a low charge by the glowing red button on the left panel.

BE2 connects through Bluetooth 4.1 with a variety of devices within 10 m range. You can get an uninterrupted sound when your phone is in your pocket.

Sound

DOSS Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones, DOSS Over-Ear Headphone

Wireless headphones often give crackling sound when the music is below  70%. So, it is better to maintain a certain level. So, you might not love to try this device with below 70% volume. The device would have been better if it was not about these cracklings.

The device also fades in after being paused. Some reviewers liked it as it didn’t create sudden noise in their ears while some others thought that it was declining the normal rhythm of the music.  The device is preferable only for loud music and ANC. The bass is quite well and isn’t bloated. The mids and highs are also clear. The device provides a surrounding sound which is quite great. But with crackling, DOSS needs to address this issue.

As the device fits perfectly on your head, it will assure your isolation. It decently manages to make the surrounding quieter. So, you can enjoy music without any interruption.

As claimed by DOSS, the device can prevent 90% of the noise through their aptX technology. Actually it doesn’t prevent all noise; it deletes all minimal frequency noise and keeps the higher ones. The device can effectively prevent noise up to 85 db. ANC works without the headphones too.
